Bethany is a Lutheran congregation affiliated with the LCMC (Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ), an association of Lutheran congregations free in Christ. Our congregation was founded in 1891 and remains grounded in the Bible and the historic Lutheran confessions.
What should I expect when I visit for the first time?
Expect a warm, small-church welcome. Our service follows the traditional Lutheran liturgy with hymns, Scripture readings, a sermon centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and Holy Communion. Come as you are — and please stay for the fellowship lunch after worship so we can get to know you.
What does Bethany Lutheran Church believe?
We believe in the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of the world. We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and that we are saved by God’s grace alone, for Christ’s sake, through faith alone.
Is there anything for children and families?
Yes! Children take part in worship through children’s sermons, special music, and as lay readers. We offer Sunday School for younger children September through May and Vacation Bible School each summer. Families are always welcome at Bethany.
Do you offer Holy Communion?
Yes. Holy Communion is celebrated in our Sunday worship services, where we receive the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
Do you have Bible studies?
Yes. Adult Bible study is offered on some Sunday mornings before worship. It is a wonderful way to grow deeper in God’s Word alongside fellow believers.
